The Choctaw Chapter of
Comanche Lodge 254 serves all the parishes of the former
Ouachita Valley Council and also Camp T.L. James in
Downsville, Louisiana. The chapter was formed in April of
2004 after the official merging of the former Ouachita
Valley and Attakapas Councils.
The chapter operates under
its own set of officers and advisors and participates in all
lodge events. The chapter participates in the lodge's Native
American Dance and Drum Team and also operates its own
Ceremony Team for use at the chapter's ordeals.
The Chapter competes at
the yearly conclave in competitions and also supports the
lodge in its competitions. The chapter boasts a roster of
about 175 members with around 50% on the dues paid roster.
