Welcome to
the Comanche Lodge Website
Comanche
Lodge is the local service organization of the Order of the Arrow
in North Louisiana providing service to the largest geographic
council in the state, the Louisiana Purchase Council. The lodge
provides service to the council's troops, packs, and camps.
The lodge's operations are based out of two chapters, the Choctaw
chapter in the northern part of the council and the Ouxouiga
chapter in the southern part of the council.
The Choctaw chapter provides support and service to the Boy Scout
units in Northern part of the council and to Camp T.L. James in
Downsville, LA. The Ouxouiga chapter provides support and service to
the Boy Scout Units in the Southern part of the council and to
Camp Attakapas in Trout, LA.
Both Chapters have their own ceremony teams and the lodge as a
whole operates a Native American dance and drum team. Both
chapters have their own set of officers to run their chapter, and
those officers operate under the guidance of the lodge's officers
and advisors. |

There
will be a short workshop on native American regalia and
basic dance and drum following the business meeting on
Sunday. The teams would like to invite everyone involved in
AIA to attend and all the new members to stay and experience
how awesome the dance and drum teams are. If you have
any questions contact Mac Colvin (318)255-0751 or Sean Place
(318) 381-5644. |

Brothers, Well here we are again with Ordeal quickly
approaching, and I urge everyone to attend and pay their
dues. The Ordeal is a great opportunity to impact the future
of our newest members, since it is their first real
encounter with the lodge and its brotherhood of cheerful
service. This is also an opportunity to seal your membership
in the lodge by becoming a Brotherhood member. Additionally,
if anyone is interested in running for a lodge office they
must speak with Mr. Polk by Friday night before to become a
candidate. |
